| Ken
has been a member of Local 340 since 1975 when he was employed
by UPS. During his twenty plus years with UPS, he spent ten
of those years as Shop Steward at the Waterville facility.
In
1995 he became a Business Agent for the Local. He is responsible
for many units both public and private sector
handling negotiations, grievance resolution and arbitration.
Ken
has a degree in Business Administration from the University
of Maine. He has continued his education by attending and
participating in numerous leadership academies and conferences
sponsored by the I.B.T.
He
serves as an Executive Board member of the Maine AFL-CIO
and is also a member of its Public Sector Committee. He
is currently the Vice President of the Central Maine Labor
Council. A member of the Eastern Region UPS Supplemental
Negotiating Committee, the UPS Grievance Panel (N.E.A.P.G.C.),
and the Eastern Region Joint Area Committee for Freight
Grievances. Ken held the position of Recording Secretary
at Local 340 for 7 1/2 years before his appointment to
President and is a delegate to Joint Council 10.
Recently,
the Local 340 Executive Board appointed Ken to the position
of President and Business Agent.
Ken
has three children and resides in Central Maine. |
